Description of course: The course (4 credits) is focused on the different kinds of animal acoustic communication, on research techniques and instruments, on practical use of acoustic monitoring programme to evaluate the noise pollution and conservation problems. The course is divided in two parts: one focused on terrestrial animals and the other on marine mammals.

Facilities: Laboratory

Indicative costs: Free for Science of Nature Faculty students; 120€ for external students.

Conditions for participation: The course is open only to students of Science of Nature. If enrolled in other faculties at the Pavia University, students must make a specific request to the Science of Nature Faculty.
Students not coming from Pavia University, have to present an official document issued by their University containing a formal "identification card" and coverage insurance.
