UNEP/MAP-SPA/RAC is launching a call for consultancy to update the Action Plan for the conservation of cetaceans in the Mediterranean.

The objective of the consultancy is to propose an update of the Action plan for the conservation of cetaceans in the Mediterranean to be presented as a working document to the next SPA thematic Focal Points meeting (June 2021) to be finalized and endorsed in view to be submitted to the MAP Focal Points meeting and to the CoP22 for adoption.

Pursuant to Decision IG.24/6 of the Barcelona Convention COP 21, the Specially Protected Areas Regional Activity Centre (SPA/RAC) launched a call for consultancy aiming at the development of a post-2020 regional strategy for marine protected areas (MPAs) and other effective area-based conservation measures (OECMs) in the Mediterranean.

The deadline for receiving proposals is 20 January 2021.

This consultancy is open to individual consultants having experience in developing strategies and action plans for the marine and coastal environment conservation and protected areas; and having excellent writing skills in English.
