Sperm whales in the Adriatic

A few weeks ago a group of five sperm whales visited the research area of the Blue World Institute in the central Adriatic. Animals have been monitored for several hours and the Blue World Institute made public appearances and press releases in order to raise awareness and ask citizens and tourists to report their observations in case animals continued moving north as there was apossibility they might get stranded (as previously happened).

In addition, the Blue World Institute has High Quality photos of these animals that are ready to be shared with scientists from the Mediterranean that would like to try and match them in their photo-id catalogues.

In case anyone isinterested in using this photos please contact the Blue World Institute
